In July 2011, YouthBuild Providence subscribed to SysInterface’s SchoolsEdNet for YouthBuild system, which is a very robust, flexible, scalable and configurable next-generation student information management system. Yet another client was successfully added to YouthBuild Program clientele. The customization and data migration was successfully completed by SysInterface on November 16, 2011. This web-enabled application streamlines and automates the complete process right from student’s enrollment till the students graduation.
The comprehensive database system--accessible from anywhere in the nation--provides YouthBuild Providence Charter School the ability to now track, monitor and report the status of every student's activity throughout the lifecycle of the program. YouthBuild Providence tracks and evaluates student progress through various academic and vocational program activities utilizing this tool. This tool draws on data input by teachers and staff and is organized to provide a range of evaluation capabilities. This data includes, but is not limited to, academic grading, AmeriCorps community-service activities, and vocational program success, as well as attendance, job shadowing and internships. The customized SchoolsEdNet solution has enhanced YouthBuild’s ability to seamlessly track student progress in a way that is well-integrated into the day-to-day operations of the school.
